The day had been fairly average. Maka had been enjoying the afternoon on a Saturday. She had gone and done some shopping, went to eat at her favorite cafe, and even managed to avoid her Papa, yep she'd say she had a pretty good day, until now...
Tsubaki and Soul suddenly came running toward Maka, they looked panicked.
"Maka!" Tsubaki yelled as she approtched her.
"W-what, w-what's wrong?" Maka asked her; she could now see she had been crying.
"Black Star is missing," Soul explained.
Maka snorted. "Why are you so worried, that idiot runs off on his own all the time, he's probably fighting," Maka stated with an irriated sigh.
"No, Maka, y

She refuses to go on without Black Star
The autumn leaves flew past her face; the cool air touseling her hair. She couldn't believe how quickly this year had flown by; it seemed like it was just yesterday that she had started the new school year.
I miss him...
Her own voice floated through her mind; it was true. His face haunted her lidded eyes, her dreams full of his laughter, her skin acheing for his touch, his scent constantly filling her lungs, and her heart slowly shattering. It'd been almost three years since she had seen him; he was sent on a mission, leaving her behind with nothing but a confession left to haunt her. She felt no hope.
He won't come back for me...
Her vo
"Uhh, you two."
Black*Star and Soul pounded the floor, convulsing with laughter at there joke
"Baka..." Maka said again, shaking her head.
"Hahaha you just don't get it Maka!" Laughed Black*Star
"Ehehe you can't expect a girl to understand these things" Commented Soul
"Of course I do! I just don't find it funny!" Said Maka defensively, glaring at the two.
"Exactly" Soul said calming down a little "Because your a girl."
"But don't let it get to you Maka!" Called Black*Star "There's nothing wrong with that!" He said smiling at her
"Really?" said Maka doubtfully
"Of course!" cried Black*Star "I'm just to great for you to comprehend! Tha

Chapter 5: Thank you
All witches back away behind the table, in fear of Kid. The fires died away leaving black scorch marks in the shape of Lord Death's mask. Maka looked on, with a light gasp.
"What is it?" Soul asked, still in his Scythe form.
"His soul ", Maka tried to finish but she was in total shock. Maka saw with her soul perception that Kid's soul was covering the entire room and still slowly growing.
"Right, I have a Zakuro, Vordemin, Myestra, but who's the other one?" Kid said, his purple eyes looking across the four witches cowering behind the tables.
" I'm Felicity ", one witch said.
"Felicity, right. Now

Chapter 21: Goodbye
"I am a grim reaper. A grim reaper's duty is to collect souls and take them to the afterlife. Not to run a school. The only reason he made the DMWA was so that he could keep that Kishin locked up underneath it and to train people to stop others becoming them. He was also bound to the city. I am not bound here and you guys are more than capable of running this academy. I have a duty to uphold as a grim reaper", Kid explained to everyone in the Death room the next day. The room was slightly in a mess with rubble on the floor mopped to the side, most likely caused by the massive earthquake Kid made bringing Maka back to life

Kid couldn't believe his eyes. These children-no, they were his age; these students were taking on the most powerful meister he had ever seen, and were clearly losing. What kind of sick lesson is this? What was his father thinking? There was no way they would survive; this guy was way too powerful. Whatever these students were being punished for couldn't have possibly been this bad Kid watched as the mad scientist attacked the annoying boy with the strange blue hair, his nerves getting the better of him. As the boy collapsed covered in blood, Kid shot up from his seat. Things were getting out of hand, and if he didn't do some

Chapter 1: It Hurts
Maka was up late; she was busy reading a book that was sent to her by her mother. She was dressed to sleep, wearing her pyjamas but her emerald eyes scanned the book, taking in the entire story, nothing could break her concentration.
"FATHER!!!!!!!"
She was wrong, the window right next to her exploded by the shockwave of the cry. She fell of her bed, trying to avoid the glass, but to no avail, it sliced nearly all her pyjamas off and made cuts across her, including a long one across her cheek. Car alarms echoed the entire city. Soon enough Maka could hear her name being called, but was unsure after being dazed by the ex

~Kid's POV~
Everyday, I'd always be sitting on the rooftop during lunch break, alone. It was the only time where I'd be at peace, calmly listening to the summer breeze, and watching the vast, azure sky. I never had any company, nor did I want any, but that was all about to change.
"Kid ?"
The door slowly creaked open and in stepped a familiar figure. Maka, one of my classmates who I didn't really classify as a close friend. We were merely acquaintances, besides when having an errand or on a mission, we hardly ever talked. I never actually felt uncomfortable by her presence, mainly because I was always acting

Maka was in the classroom with Soul and the other students, waiting for Stein to come in and start class. But Stein was late, probably got stuck somewhere in his rolling chair. She picks up her book and starts reading her book. She couldn't concetrate for she noticed someone was staring at her. She looked at Soul who was talking with Black Star about something. She looked the other way and noticed that Death the Kid had just turned away. 'Strange.' she thought to herself and she returned to her book once more. A shadow fall across the page she was reading and she looked up to see Kid staring down at her.
"Hey Kid." She said smiling up at

The 'Perfect' Morning
"Hmm... There. Perfect." Kid smiled to himself, trimming the plant one last time. He wiped sweat from his forehead with the back of his arm. He was in the process of making his garden perfectly symmetrical. The sleeves of his shirt were pushed up past his elbows, a precaution against the green stains that threatened at the fabric.
Maka took a quick step back, observing her afternoon cooking briefly, "Perfect." she breathed with a nod of approval. She set her apron aside, and unrolled her bunched up shirt from her elbows. Then shuffled the two plates to where Soul slept on the red couch.
Kid walked back to
